Buses - very colourful

This is a bridge near our house were we decided to take some pictures of the traffic, especially the colourful buses I wanted to capture

On this particular day was a general strike called for by a polictical party, and therefore most of the shops were closed and the roads rather empty.

I preferred to wear a headscar most of the time, it just felt appropriate

A few of flats on the main road, with the typical row of shops at street level

The front of our house

The top level of our house is actually rented out and another family lives there.

Granddad likes to maintain the plant pots in front of the house.

grandma in the kitchen

Farzana Khala (Aunty Farzana), preparing Bhindi (okra)

The budgies which the grandparents keep.

Told you before, Imran doesn't like to have his picture taken

and further street impressions

again, most of the shops were closed due to a general strike on this day

I just love the buses and can't take enough pictures of them

s big cat lovers, we were always particularly interested to see the cats in Karachi, However, I am aware that they could have potoentially rabies, so we had to stay well clear of them. Nafees told me to show the pictures of those poor cats to our cats here at home to make them aware how spoilt they are.

A relative's house which was overlooking this roundabout - lots of photo opportunities for me

one of the numerous roadside trader

This is actually a very common sight and the best I've seen was 8 on one bike

ok, never complain again about overcrowding on UK commuter trains.
