The courtyard in Samina's house (Nafees' sister)

Inside Samina's house

The alleyway on the back of Samina's house. The Tree is a Mango Tree.

Some more impression of Karachi's streets, all taken from the car window (I'm too lazy to Photoshop)

Yep, the cats were a sorry sight.

We went to visit an amusement park called 'Hill Park'

Unlike in the UK, where most parks etc would close with nightfall, in Karachi life starts once it gets dark (and the temparatures are more bearable.)

Samina and her daughter Fatima

Also in Hill Park was this wonderful view over Karachi - but as it is very dark, the picture is pretty much useless. But the view was beautiful  - take it from me. The fencing around the verh high viewing platform was all broken though - I can only image what UK Health and Safety would make of this sight.

A visit to the PAF (Pakistani Air Force) museum which was very different from what I know as museum - it had exhibits, but also a very large park, an amusement and people were having picnics and barbeques on the lawns.

Imran wanted me to take pictures of the guns showcasted here - it doesn't mean anything to me, but he could name tham all due to a game he is playing on the Xbox

The perfect end to the day was a visit to a restaurant called 'BBQ tonite' - the whole building is actually the restaurant It is situated in an area of Karachi called Clifton which is by the seaside and a posh area - I don't think the average ordinary citizen could afford to go to a restaurant like this.

Nafees' brother Zubair who was our driver of the day (well, every day really). I guess if you can drive in Karachi you can drive anywhere.

Imran and me ordered Steak and Chips which was the best steak I have ever eaten!!

Outside the restaurant

The roundabouts (and there are plenty) ususally had some kind of statue in the middle.
